Ugly as hell but made well and durable. One of the only desk lights that allows ypu to buy and replace the bulb. Also allows ac plug. The usb clip lights are cute and much easier to use to do my mani pedi. But the don't last more than 30 days and you can't change the bulb. So it's hideous and clunky but it gets the job done. Very well packaged so that bulb was intact and works well. I use one once a month to do my nails. I wish it came with a clip.

The lamp does what it says it will, but I found concerns with the clamp's quality. Let's go over the checklist that Amazon gave me while typing the review, as it touches base on everything I want to comment on. Flexibility: The lamp has no problems reaching across a 3ft by 2ft desk, when installed on the side, for whatever I may be working on. The arm easily holds any position I put it in. It will struggle to cross a desk larger than 5 or 6 feet wide and 3 or 4 feet deep, if installed on the back. Clamp Strength: The biggest flaw of this lamp. The cheap plastic clamp has difficulty establishing a confidence-inspiring hold on the desk. The only redeeming factor is that it has screw holes, so you can bolt it down. Brightness/Light Quality: The included bulb is of an acceptable quality. No shimmer or flicker was observed, and a decently bright, pleasant (to me at least) daylight glow greeted me upon turning it on. No immediately obvious CRI defects. I have not used it long enough to comment on durability or longevity. Functionality: You can replace the bulb with any bulb you want. It's only nameplated for up to 25w, but I've used up to 60w in it without damage. Summary: Overall, this is a decent lamp let down by a poor quality plastic clamp. It seems to be holding for now, but it took a bit of effort and trial-and-error for me to get it to a place where I actually feel comfortable with it. Even then, if I pivot it opposite its clamp direction, it looks like it wants to break off the desk. I have it mounted on the right of a sit-stand desk, with a small side-table (that holds a PC, a few chargers, and a number of trinkets) to the right of the desk. If I pivot the lamp over the edge to work with the side table, the clamp gets disconcertingly bendy. I struggle to decide whether to give it 3 or 4 stars. Consider it a 3.5 rounded up, because it's a good lamp other than that clamp.

Package came and was much smaller than I had expected. The materials are thin and not exactly robust. That being said it is priced correctly for what it is in my opinion. Comes with the pieces to anchor to a table, but also has the ability to mount vertically. Comes with a bulb, which is always nice. Also it is sized correctly, when I was looking for a lamp like this I was finding many reviews of others having much shorter arm lengths than they appeared.

Shade will not stay in place and falls off even after several attempts. does not fit right

I love LED lights. But I was getting tired of desklights that have built in LEDs - the LEDs invariably start to fail and the only option is to replace the entire light. This lamp takes care of that, buy a new LED bulb and screw it in and you're good to go again (and those bulbs generally last better too). It also gives you the option to vary the brightness (wattage) and color temperature of the light. It comes with a decent 9 watt bulb. I opted to push it up to 13 watts and that gives me all the brightness I needed, much better than any lamp with built in light that I have purchased. I will say that the construction is lighter than I expected, especially for something with the Bostitch name on it. I don't think it is just going to fall apart, but i would be concerned if I fiddled with it a lot and moved it around. For me it is almost exclusively position it and forget it, so I think it will last just fine. I did notice what another reviewer mentioned, that when you screw in the bulb it seems like the fixture tries to turn (along with the wiring), which is a bit concerning. I made sure to hold it and keep the fixture from turn while I installed the bulb, and I would suggest that you do that as well. Lamp is easily set up and attached to your table or desk. I did 'cheat' and kept the base of my previous light (which was a much more strongly made base) but the included one would have worked fine. I'm happy with my purchase and believe that this light will give me good service.

At first, I loved this; however, as time went on it ended up being more of a pain than anything. The mounting method was horrible. Every time I went to move the lamp to a different part of my desk because of re-organizing and re-arranging it made me want to throw the lamp through the window. So much so that when my wife asked for a lamp I ordered her a completely different one (shown below) because this one was just such a pain to mount. Rather than having the usual turn bar, like most lamps, this one had a nut you had to tighten and a top mounting part that had no actual secure method so often times it would act like it was tight and mounted and then you'd move it and it would fall. So I finally gave up and ordered myself the same one I got for my wife, which was 100% better. Mounted hers 5x for re-arrangements as well and never once had an issue. So I finally gave up on mine, took the bulb out and threw the entire thing away and ordered the same one I ordered my wife and now I've had no issues. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS - it will make you want to hulk out because someone was too cheap to put the normal mounting mechanism on the lamp and stuck with a nut. Avoid purchasing this lamp. It was not disclosed anywhere that it comes with a foreign power plug incompatible with Australian power outlets.

Belle lampe, dont le nom Bostitch est imprimé sens dessus dessous (à l'envers) sur l'abat-jour ! Ça ajoute à sa coquetterie !! Les bras de la lampe sont de belles grandeurs, fragiles, mais solides pour un usage normal. J'ai dû quelque peu resserrer les différents boulons, ce qui est facile à faire. Et finalement, je suis super satisfait et je crois qu'elle me rendra d'excellents services. Merci.

I LIKE THIS LAMP VERY MUCH. IT HAS AN EASY WAY OF PUTTING IT TOGETHER, AND WORKS JUST FINE
