Solid piece of gear
This was a pain to find! I looked high and low for an axle bar that was 45 lbs. This bar is 44 lbs. without the collars and with the collars that come with it 46 lbs. I placed it on a scale at home and these are the numbers I came up with. I could care less about the bar being made in China. It is a solid piece of gear and good luck finding one of this quality with the collars for the same price. I have used this bar to replace my standard barbell for just about every barbell movement I perform. Your grip with become like a vice in just a short time. Your overall pulling motions such as curls, deadlifts, and rowing movements will take a hit in the poundage department at first, but in my case my joints needed a little break anyway. The poundage is steadily increasing and the barbells at our ambulance base feel like tooth picks when I use them to workout on shift. I may purchase another just to leave at work.

Nice
I bought a second bar...These are great axles. I spray mine with undercarriage coating and truck bed liner as they wear and get damaged. And they will. Not as badly as some R products, though.Axels are axles, and if you use them, you know what they’re for. But these really shine in the odd lifts. Like landmine squats. I use a pipe attachment on my rack and one of my safety straps on the other side. No bending and nothing but stable. I also use them for my Viking press attachment and for single and double arm overhead. And they’re rock solid and durable for lever rows. They feel decent for squats as well. Having a heavy axle makes loading and unloading much safer, obviously.Well made and dependable.

I have gotten a great deal of use out of various "fat grip" products
I purchased this axle bar to incorporate into my thick grip training. As an athlete in my 40s, I have found that thick grip training has been key in injury prevention, in that it makes light weight more difficult to move. I have gotten a great deal of use out of various "fat grip" products, but never really liked the way that they fit on barbells. Because of this, I made a homemade axle bar out of pipe, but it just didn't feel right (the weight and dimensions were off). I finally gave in and made the purchase...and I am really glad that I did. This bar is solid and I can see it replacing my olympic barbell for most movements. Thanks for a great and reasonably priced product.

it's an axle! Almost 49lbs though
Started strongman training a while back and finally got my own axle! Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but the packaging could have been better and the powdercoat finish on the bar had a couple sharp parts on it where it looked like the paint clumped or chipped or something. Other than that, I'm very happy with it and love that it's a true 20kg axle and not only ~20lbs. like others offered in a similar price point.*EDIT* I weighed this on a postal scale and measured it tipping the scales at 48lbs 11oz without collars!Good investment for a barbell that won't bend under day-to-day use by an intermediate lifter and costs half of what a nice barbell would!

Great bar for the price
I've been pleasantly surprised with the axle. I was worried about the quality of the welds and the feel of the bar given the price but its been great. It has almost a powder-coat feel and a little slick, but with chalk, it's great. I have yet to test the weight limits on it but it feels solid. It feels heavier than 20kg when i hold my rogue Ohio bar in the other hand. Have yet to weigh it though.

Great product
Purchased this bar a few weeks ago. Shipped and arrived very well packaged, well before expected arrival date. As someone interested in strongman and grip sport, I was excited to add a fat bar to my garage gym. I heard great things about this bar, in particular, and I was not disappointed with it. Since I received this bar, I have been pressing exclusively with it, and probably will not return to a standard bar for those exercises. Also, to anyone concerned with the strength of the bar, I pulled with about 615lbs on the bar and it held up perfectly fine. I should mention that the product weight says 44lbs, but the one I received weighed 49lbs, so you should measure yours as well to check. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in thick bar training.

Great axle bar
Nice heavy axle bar with a nice finish. Feels heavier than 44lbs. I have used this for deadlifts and rows so far and the fat grip forearm work has alleviated some nagginf elbow tendonitis i was experiencing fro. Squatting very frequently. Would definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for a fat bar with free shipping.

Highly recommended!
Awesome bar for great price. I have loaded this bar up and it holds up great. Along with the adding of chains to my workout, I have greatly improved with my weight training. The bar I received actually weighs 49.1 pounds...
