One of the best card games I've played next to Pixel Tactics
Simple at its base and complex in practice. The box is great, the cards are nice and sturdy, not sure what they are made of but they feel different than other cards I have, and the little Isaac pennies are a fantastic touch. We played so far with two people who are indifferent to the Isaac game, one who never played it and me, who has hundreds of hours in the game, considering it one of the best roguelike experiences. All four of us really loved this card game.It starts off with loose relationships and buy outs for active item use but the moment someone gets close to the final soul it devolves into a game of threats, stacking items against another and doing any scummy thing possible to ruin their turn and its just fantastic. At one point, one of the players had a loot hand and active items that he was threatening pretty much everyone on their turn subsequently becoming a target on his.I was really surprised at how well they translated the video game into a multiplayer card game and will be ordering the first expansion.

Great game to play with friends!
UPDATE: Just got my new copy in, all the cards are included, and in great condition. The cards are made very well and look like they will hold up for years. The game itself has a simple premise, collect 4 souls by completing specific objectives or killing monsters that give souls when you give the killing blow... but it gets much more complex when you and up to 3 friends are sitting on a bunch of treasure you can use to totally blindside other players. If you think UNO's draw 4 is relationship ending, wait until you start killing off your friends to prevent their progress, or stealing/destroying the coins, souls or items.Just an amazingly fun game you can play over and over again! Highly recommend.I'll update this if the problem is fixed, but I am missing the Hero Cards and the associated Hero Items. I checked all through the prepackaged decks, but as of right now, I can't play the game sadly.

I Destroyed My Boyfriend..
I’ve had another version of The Binding of Isaac that been sitting on the shelf for about a year. Mostly because I haven’t had anyone to play it with but also because the storage of the cards in that box triggered my OCD. There is no organization to it whatsoever haha.I’ve been getting a bunch of card and board games here recently and stumbled across this! I decided to get it after reading the comments, description, and looking at the pictures. The first one I got was okay. The cards were slightly roughed up but that didn’t bother me too much. I was disappointed because it didn’t come with any pennys at all. I put in for a replacement and it came super quick when my boyfriend was over! We opened it to make sure all the prices were there, learned the rules, and got to playing! We had a couple of test rounds to get the hang of playing but after that, it was on!We decided to play best four out of seven to determine the ultimate winner! Right now, it’s three to one..! He’s determined to win two times in a row next time we play to even the score! All in all, this is a great game! Haven’t played it with a group yet but I will confidently say it’s probably going to be 7x the fun!

Great gift, fun game
I bought this for my teenage nephews for board game nights. Learning curves were a little awkward at first but the instructions were very quick and easy to refer back to until we got the hang of it. I knew they liked playing the video game version and the art is morbidorable. Not long after, I saw the expansion on Kickstarter and nabbed it too. It’s not scheduled to be released until 2022, so if you want to learn the base game in the meantime, pick this up! They’re adding some new concepts to the expansion so nail down those basics!

Decent card game, but a few problems
The game is good overall. It integrates all aspects of the original Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Afterbirth. The characters, monsters, treasures, tarot cards, etc. Obviously, the gameplay is different, but it maintains many of the original elements from original game itself, such as paying 10 coins to buy an item. There is no exploration aspect, so no keys, rooms, etc. The games take much longer with more players involved, and the time is very dependent on players deciding to cooperate, betray, or fight. The cards themselves are sturdy as they are made like Bicycle's standard playing cards.Issues I had with the game include ambiguous scenarios while playing and the condition of the product received. Before I removed the plastic keeping the decks together, I saw that the card on top of the loot deck had a torn corner. Turns out, several cards from this deck had bent/torn corners on the same corner. Mostly, the coin cards had bent/torn corners. I knew this was a possibility when buying the game, and this did not affect any games I played with my friends as the damages were unnoticeable.Regarding the game itself, there are many card interaction issues that need to be clarified. For instance, when placing a monster card from the monster deck on top of one of the two active monsters, is the effect of the monster card under the new one still active or not? There is no information on this in the rules. These interactions have put a few of our games on pause, and my friends have to come to an agreement on something to continue playing.Despite some of the problems I had with this game, I find it still worth buying and playing. I will be keeping watch for the expansion and what others have to say about it.
