Great holster, but lefties take your time
Holster is high quality and folds together firmly, the only hard parts are setting your retention strength and setting it up left handed the instructions only show right.

Excellent holster.
Holds my Shadow Systems MR920 with Stramlight light attached perfectly. If I add a red dot later on the holster can be trimmed to fit.

Good security, instructions aren’t great.
What I like. Retention is good after I trimmed the ejection port insert. Plus you can wrap the fabric around the gun as snug as you want. The trigger is protected. What I didn’t like: The photographs of assembly in the instructions. The hands of the assembler blocked key features that I really wanted to see, so there was a lot of trial and error on my part. I finally figured it out.If you are left handed, you might get a little frustrated.I’m going to keep it because of the trigger protection and secure retention, but this could be improved with more thought. 4 stars.

Bad Reviews Must Be User Error - Perfect for CCW Purses
I needed a hook-and-loop holster for my VP9 with a TLR8 A/G, and the bad reviews had me a little concerned. It took a few tries, but I was able to get the holster set up just right. Retention is entirely up to the user; if it's too tight, just wrap the underside a bit looser. If your sights snag, use the grip roll to cover the open port (that's where it'll snag), or wrap one of the wings around the front of the gun barrel to cover it, which is what I did.Additionally, the grip roll can be used to add some rigidity and protection around the trigger guard. It can be fiddly, but once it's set up right, and you get the ejection port retention bit lined up so you always get good indexing and retention, you never have to mess it with again. But you totally can, to reverse the hook-and-loop or draw side, which is fabulous. If you set it up right, you can even run a belt through it or DIY yourself an IWB clip, especially if you use a punch to make sure it doesn't go anywhere.I genuinely do not understand the issues people have reported having unless they were trying to cram a USP into the compact holster, or of a mental capacity that raises questions to their ability to safely and responsibly carry a firearm, or maybe it just works exceedingly well with the VP9 because of the slide geometry, but it does what I need it to do perfectly and would work well beyond that, too.A larger double-sided hook patch would have been nice, but you can get those for next to nothing. Additionally, I'd love a rigid tactigami-compatible panel to insert into other bags or purses, along with tactigami options built for a wider variety of everyday items.

Cool idea, ultimately didn't work on its own.
I own the holster (full size) and two mag pouches. I find the construction to be pretty good, and the idea is really neat. I also found the products quite easy to assemble. However, I ran into several issues:Note: I'm running a PPQ with a TLR-1.1) The holster, in an effort to please lefty AND righty shooters, has several holes cut into the pattern. These holes caused (in my case) the structure to be inconsistent, which caused inconsistent draw success for me. Sometimes my front sight would snag the material, sometimes it wouldn't.2) The ejection port cover (which is supposed to provide retention for the gun) was supremely frustrating to get just right, and I ultimately never did. I must have fiddled with it and reassembled the holster a dozen times, and couldn't get a consistently good retention or draw out of it. Frustrating.3) The hook & loop just isn't very sticky. I am not confident that t will stay in place under any kind of difficult situation. Not wanting to abandon the product entirely, I purchased two yards of SERIOUS velcro, and applied it as necessary to fix all of my problems (see picture). My recommendation: Go get a QVO Tactical "Secondary" holster, and pick up their velcro holster adapter which is like $12. They make terrific holsters for reasonable prices, and that attachment has legit velcro which won't budge, so you can confidently store your gun and not worry about it detaching.

Doesn't like full sized pistol with light, dot, and aggressive slide cuts.
Sounded so good. Doesn't work as well as hoped for a Canik rival with light and dot. The front sight snags and the TRD hangs up on the slide cuts. If it's loose enough to holster and draw easily (easy enough not to pull out of the velcro) there is no retention and the pistol comes out in the backpack when ever the pack isn't upright. I had a lot of hope for this one, but it's going back. It may work great for a smooth sided compact w/o a light.

Exactly as advertised.
Serves the purpose well. Extremely satisfied.

Didn't work for me
I'm sure this will work for a smaller frame handgun, but for a full size with a light and red dot it will not work. It took some time, and trimming, and more time, but I eventually got it fitting halfway decent. Went to see how it fit in my pouch and the velcro wouldn't hold it in place. Again the material and the design are fine for smaller pistols, but it just will not work for a full size. At least not mine (gen 4 glock 19, tlr1HL, holosun 507c).
