I See A Real Difference
I bought this from Amazon years ago after watching several infomercials for the device. I had a suspicion that claims about the device were bogus and I was just another sucker who was parted from their money. Imagine my surprise when I actually saw results! I see the biggest difference in the drooping skin under my eyebrows. As we get older, everything starts to sag--no matter how good our skincare routine is. After treating one eye, the puffy hood of skin above the eyelid is noticeably tightened and the eyebrow is higher/more lifted than the untreated eye. The effect remains for several hours. Cheekbones appear somewhat more defined, and the drooping at the corners of the mouth is a bit improved as well. I also see results around the jawline, but the main problem with my full jowls is caused by being too heavy. There's only just so much improvement you'll get in that area when you're overweight. However, I'll take any improvement I can get. I don't use the serum that came with this set. I use a lot more pressure than is shown in the tutorial, so I slather on a heavier emollient cream to allow the device to easily glide across the skin. I also use the device at its highest setting around the eyes (setting "9" rather than the recommended setting "1") and I think this gives me more dramatic results. Here are some disclaimers for those of you expecting miracles: Nothing is going to miraculously improve the look of your skin if you don't consistently take care of it. I get so tired of people writing negative reviews about devices or makeup after trying it one time and being disappointed that they don't look 20 years younger immediately or that makeup looks dry or crepey on their skin. You can often tell by their comments that they don't religiously care for their skin. I will be 57 this month, but I look like I'm in my early 40's (some say mid- to late-30s) because I have found truly effective skin care lines (Skinn Cosmetics and Baetea serums) and I follow an intense skin care routine--twice a day, every day. (If your skin has a tough, weathered or aged layer or is parched and dry, slathering on ANY makeup product won't hide this.) Using this device, I don't see a lot of difference in skin texture, but I do see a notable difference in the firmness of the skin--less sagging. The more you use the device, the better the results--the results aren't permanent. When I forget about using it, sagging and puffiness return. Nice looking skin takes commitment. For me, this device helps fight the sagging and puffiness that naturally occurs as skin ages in ways that good skincare cannot. Since I can't afford regular treatments from an esthetician and wouldn't dream of cosmetic surgery, I'm thrilled to get results with my sagging skin issues from the Dermawand. (I did not receive any discounts on this product or any compensation for this review. Just got done using it and felt compelled to write a review.)

It Works But Takes Times
I’ve only been using this two weeks and already my skin looks better then it has in years! The big line I had between my eyebrows is almost gone. That said a few helpful tips: 1. They say “3 minutes” but its misleading, actually if you do all of the exercises they suggest it’s a lot longer. I do all of the face exercises for wrinkles (not the ones for blemishes) and it takes me about 25 minutes and I’m doing that twice a day. I am wondering if the negative reviews are from people who only used it for 3-4 minutes. I think it works but you have to be willing and able to invest the time. 2. My order did not come with a DVD just a booklet that didn’t make much sense to me. DermaWand has the video on their website but it was hard to pause and rewind so I found the video on youtube and the first three times I used the DermaWand I watched the video while I used it. The third time after I watched it I made a numbered list of all the exercises and put it in language that made sense to me. I don’t need the video now I just use my list to make sure I remember all the exercises.

This item really works
I have been getting facials over a year o try to improve my complextion. I tried everything on the market and didnt anything that really made a difference for very long. I have these little rocks that keep surfacing on my face. No matter how many facials I have had along with using only oil free products nothing gave me a clear smooth face. I noticed tha the lady who did my facial would roll this electrod ball on my face at the end of the facial. So I did some research online and found info about the Derma Wand. I got it on Amazon for $99 + no shipping which was cheaper than continuing to have facials done. On top of it 30 day free trial!! After the first time I used it, the next morning I could see a difference in my face. It was not lumpy looking anymore it was smoother and had a nice sheen to it. The "rocks" would surface quicker on my face with easy removal. I used it all over my face like the booklet says to do and after a week even my husband looked at me as we were waiting at the airport and said 'you face looks so nice and smooth". Just to add more I had deep creases between my eyes along with the jowl lines around my mouth that I just hated!!! Not kidding when I say they are barely there anymore. It may not work for everyone but it did for me which is a first. I have bought so many products over the years just to be let down and disappointed but this wand works for me. It is worth every penny to try this product especially with the 30 day free trial. I am sold on this product and will continue to use it everyday. By the way I am 53 and feel beautiful again because of the Derma Wand.

Be Loyal
Look, this doesn't lift your face miraculously, but I can attest to the amazing change in my skin. My skin is tighter, I get less than a quarter of the acne. I SO wish I had this as a teenager!!!!! If you have cystic acne at all, this is amazing. As soon as you feel the start of one, zap it. It is gone and improving within a day. I used it faithfully for six months, twice a day (with my own lotion - theirs is useless). I did notice a firmer neck and mouth area. But as I read on about them I learned some things. It is not going to tighten skin for someone who is young. And by young I mean someone without aged (beginning to sag) skin. It does not tone facial muscle, but rather tightens skin. Typically as women age, their facial muscles age (and begin to weaken) first. That is my case, the skin hasn't really begun to sag yet (but I know it's coming.) So without that, I cannot accurately comment on the toning part of it. There is an odor of ozone, it isn't bad.The zapping doesn't hurt and it only took me three days to climb up to maximum power - which you need for results. I read reports of it making people break out a bit. This happened to me a little at first. I believe that the initial use drives oils and potential pimples to the surface. It happened for about three days after a about the same number of days in use. Then it was gone, and my skin really did become perfectly free of blemishes. Lastly, be loyal to the use of this product for skin tightening. I did notice a slight change around the corners of my mouth and lips. But I stopped using is for a month - and did notice a slip right back. Using it to zap and prevent acne - works. That should be done as often as you need it.

GREATLY DISAPPOINTED
I received my wand a couple of weeks ago. It took me a few days before I could watch the instructional video, so I really have been using it less than 2 weeks, and it took a while to get it worked into my routine even once a day, let alone the twice recommended. But the last several days, I was using it every morning until yesterday. Not noticing any anti-aging results yet in that short of a time, I was at least noticing an improvement in my complexion to encourage me to try harder to get the evening use routine started. I got out of the shower after working out Monday night, and tried to use the wand. The result was literally shocking. It hurt as if I were intentionally trying to electrocute myself. I checked to see if I accidentally bumped up the setting because the needle like shocks were even more powerful than the level 5 I had worked myself up to on my cheeks. No, it was still set on the number 1 setting recommended for around the eyes. I wondered if there was something about my hair being wet that increased the conductivity, though I felt this was unlikely since there were no warnings about anything at all causing a change in performance. I put it away until the next morning. Very disappointingly, when back to my regular routine, the unit was still giving me painful shocks instead of the level I had been getting for the past week at the same settings. I couldn't even use the number 1 setting on my cheeks that were used to level 5. That is how much stronger the pulses we that the unit was suddenly putting out. The unit was well taken care of. It was never dropped, always stored in its case in a clean, dry cabinet, never exposed to even a steamy room (my bathroom is large and never steams up) let alone direct exposure to water. Nothing unusual happened to it to suddenly cause it to suddenly break. I can only assume there was a manufacturing defect, and the component that allows you to change the power setting suddenly shorted to full power all the time, regardless of the dial setting. If I had paid much less for it, it would have gone right in the trash. But costing over $100, I am hoping to get a refund, or better yet, to see if a properly working unit will give me the results claimed, exchange it to see if another unit will last to give me the reduced lines and jowls.

More of a massager than a medical device...
I purchased my dermawand in November 2012, from Amazon. At least 5 times a week, 15 minutes daily I faithfully use it. I am a retired Chemistry teacher, and have made many observations about the product, its quality and capabilities. First of all, 3 minutes twice daily does nothing. You might as well not even bother if you follow the directions given. The product samples were very nice for treating my hands. For my face, they were a waste. The glass-tipped sensor always got all icked up, and had to be cleaned after regular use with alcohol to get rid of the sludge which hinders its effectiveness. NOWHERE does it state that this must be done. I wash my face, and use a toner to clean off any residue. The skin is damp, and the dermawand works just fine. The dermawand has reduced the very fine lines around my lips, and plumped them. It has reduced the redness leftover from my multiple laser surgeries for a port wine stain birthmark which I had done back in the 1990s. It has faded the scar that resulted when my son accidentally bumped the scab off postprocedure. I have eliminated all but three skin tags from one side of my neck. Two on the other side are barely visible. The faint lines between my brows are faded, and I have no crows feet or facial lining. I wish there was a model with twice the power. I have a residual scar and loose skin from the swelling of my neck due to an inflamed thyroid which was removed in 2011. The scar is faintly visible, but if the unit was more powerful it would have more successfully and completely eliminated the puckers in my neck and stretched skin from where my thyroid damaged it. The only thing the unit cannot do for me is to stimulate collagen growth under my eyes, where there are hollows that began to appear after my thyroid surgery and worsened after I was diagnosed with cancer in June 2012. The darkness was eliminated, but I still have the hollows there. If the manufacturers would design a higher powered unit, I would be delighted to have one. It is of my opinion that if I was not putting in the time every night after I shower, and just dinked around with this 6 minutes a day, it would do nothing. Significant change in the skin can only be accomplished at least by doubling or tripling its intensity. As for products, I alternate between the Peter Thomas Roth line, and whatever I have on the dressing table--Roc, Booth (from Target), Loreal. I use the product AFTER I work with the dermawand. I think there would be many more happier customers if this unit was more of a medical device and less of a massager. If the makers decide to upgrade this product I for one would be delighted to participate in a study, or to buy another one. It is good, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I did not buy mine through their site--I paid about $60 for mine on Amazon, and for that price I most certainly got my money's worth. Hope this helps.

Unbelievably great
There is more to this wand than they promise. I am 49 and have small lines, jowls are starting, and eyelids are starting to droop, all family traits. My eyelids do not respond like the commercial but the puffiness is improving. I also have acne which is clearing up very nicely after one week of use. Scarring is fading, pores are getting smaller, lines are diminishing. It has also diminished redness and evened out skin tone. I have a nervous rash on my scalp that is improving. The rash is smaller and doesn't itch as much. I also have a pinched nerve in my neck that causes pain in my shoulders and tightening of neck muscles. The treatment on my neck eliminates the pain in my shoulders and the muscle pain has greatly diminished. I was not expecting relief of that chronic pain. I would keep using it for that even if nothing else worked but it all works. It is also very relaxing. I do it twice a day while I watch TV so it doesn't really take any extra time. My husband noticed a difference the 1st day. He 63 and is always complaining that he looks old so he was willing to try it. His face is responding even faster than mine. His sagging chin tightened dramatically, skin tone improved, and lines are not as deep. He is bald and has a lot of sun damage on top of his head so I am using it there too. The spots are fading. I only used it on him 3 times last week and saw marked improvement. My 8 year old daughter has red hair and a fair complexion and tends to pick at her boo boos that take forever to heal. I noticed that the freckles are fading and her boo boos are healing quicker plus she loves the relaxation part too. This is a fabulous tool that I will be using for the rest of my life.

I just turned 46 and like all of a sudden
I just turned 46 and like all of a sudden, although I clean my skin, do facials and extra moisturize.. I woke up one day and my whole face looked different. It was very different and that was not ok. Think I waited a day and googled things to try. I'm not a perfect, vain woman.. But hell no.. It really was different. Anyways, I found derma wand and read many of the reviews.. First off.. If we all could wave a magic wand and oooh we are 20 years younger.. GREAT... BUT that's bull s***. I got it within a few days. Affordable price.. so I tried it. (fyi, I'm an ex cosmetologist so I have been around many things since I was 17. Ok first time I tried it, (I kept thinking of the woman who said it smelled like dead flesh. negative review.. lol ) I watched the video and did what the said. Well I did immediately notice a difference. My face was glowing, not dull. I was pumped.. I used it for a few more days, skipped a few days and was ugggg I hate standing for even 5 minutes in the mirror.. So I took a week off. Guess what the weird face change came back. Back to hell no.. Compromise.. I use it at least 6 times a week and it feels like a massage, I do it while watching tv.. I have found something tat works, you just gotta use it. And as far as the smell. That woman is nuts.. Yeah there is a slight smell, but it feels like its working.. Really cool.. xoxo Mama Bear
