I love the latch to keep little hands out. The size is perfect for my reading glasses and other do dads I like to keep close to my chair and bedside. These small boxes are well made and have stood up to a toddler using it for their tiny babies. I kept three and gifted three. We all like the unfinished wood so each can be designed to our own preferences.

I am a woodburning artist on Vancouver Island and one of the crystal shops I supply art to has requested boxes for tarot cards/crystals/trinkets. I ordered various kinds and went to many stores in pursuit of the perfect boxes - low and behold, these boxes are stunning! They require very little sanding to really polish up & smooth out, and the clasps are the nicest I've found so far. The boxes are sturdy, great for woodburning & painting. Great quality for a reasonable price. I was looking for something with latches that were not the cheap looking flat gold style and found this. Perfect for small wedding party gifts. Some slight imperfections, but nothing that could not be easily hidden. Plain pine wood was easy to stain and only needed a very light sanding to prep it.
