Nice Multi-Port Valve Rebuild Kit
Nice kit to rebuild your Zodiac/Jandy multi-port valve. Our pool is now 7 years old and I noticed the multi-port valve was getting very hard to turn when I needed to backwash the filter. I could also hear air getting sucked back in through the backwash port when the pump was shut off. Ordered this kit and received everything in the picture, including a diverter. The hardest part is removing the old spider gasket. You glue these in place (I didn't know that until I read the instructions with this kit.). Took some scraping to remove the old one which came out in pieces. Be aware that you will need some waterproof Loctite adhesive to glue the new gasket in place. Due to this plan on having your pool down for several hours while you install this kit. The Loctite I used needed 2 hours to set up. You also will need to completely drain the water out of your filter so you can dry off all the channels inside the valve that the spider gasket seats into. Also it is a bit if a pain to get the handle off and back on to the top of the valve. There is a stiff spring on the underside of the valve cover. You have to compress that spring to get the handle back on to the diverter. There is a pin that goes through holes in the handle and diverter that holds everything in place. I ended up having to use a pair of C-clamps to compress the lid and diverter enough to get the pin back in. There may be a better way but that worked for me. Over all it wasn't a hard process to replace everything. Just took time to scrape off the old gasket and let the glue on the new one set up. I am very pleased with the results. Valve turns much easier now and it is no longer sucking air back in through the backwash port.

You could buy a new valve if you were really rich.
You have little choice but to buy this and repair your old seal. You may not need the pressure plate if yours is not leaking.
