Worked great!
I needed to extend the handle about an inch after new tile in shower. Worked perfectly. Kit included everything i needed.

Useful when valve is not installed at the proper depth
The description is a bit confusing as the default stop tube that comes with any moen handle kit is 2 inches long. This is a one inch extension kit which comes with a 3 inch stop tube along with other pieces to connect the handle to the valve. Moen also has a 2 inch extension kit which comes with a 4 inch stop tube. This was required to connect handle to a valve that was installed too deep behind the shower wall. Expensive for a metal tube and a few plastic pieces but considering the alternative of the work needed to cut the tile and reinstall the valve at correct depth, it is probably worth it.

Exactly what we needed
Same as everyone else... after a shower remodel the parts provided with our shower handle weren't long enough. This extension is a lifesaver. 5 minute install.

Life Saver...but Expensive!
I was replacing the shower valve in my house and I ended up needing an extender to get the new handle on.This product worked perfectly, but I have to say it is EXPENSIVE! If it were under $20 that would seem more reasonable to me, but at just under $40 it is definitely expensive. Like they say, if you need something you will pay, so if you need it, just buy it.

Does what it says on the tin!
It's a kit of parts and screws to accommodate pretty much every Posi-Temp valve trim and handle possibility so you will have a lot of screws left over. Unfortunately, it does not include the two pieces that were left out by someone in the past who goofed when they installed it in my house. I had to order the "temperature limit stop kit" separately: https://www.amazon.com/Moen-106479-Temperature-Limit-Stop/dp/B00083LQEI

To the people leaving bad reviews...
Take it from a plumber that blaming Moen for "poor engineering" because someone installed your shower valve incorrectly and not following the directions is absolutely insane. You should be blaming whomever installed the shower valve. Moen is one of the only companies that even offers something like this to fix someone else's screw up. Moen is also one of the only companies if not the only one who has had very similar valves for decades so changing the trim out for something newer is an absolute breeze. And to the person who bought the wrong size. You said it was too big? That's because Moen makes extensions for Posi-Temp valves, and Moentrol valves. Your "push pull" valve is a Moentrol, that's why the kit was too large. Do your research. We use these kits all the time at work because people install these valves to far into the wall all the time, and it saves you from having to go through the tile or whatever is behind the valve and moving it forward. Paying 30 bucks for something like this is a great deal as opposed to paying hundreds to start re-opening walls. 5 stars for life.

We ultimately had a second plumber come in and he got it looking much better and a lot more stable
Well it definitely solved the problem when an in inexperienced plumber set the valve too far back in the wall so that once the tiling was done the handle could not connect. It gets 3 stars since I didn't have to tear apart the new tiles. But it is an ugly fix and you will always have a little wobble to the handle since it sticks so far out from the connecting point. We ultimately had a second plumber come in and he got it looking much better and a lot more stable. Still, you can see about a 1/2 inch of the stem collar between the trim plate and the handle itself. So much for a sleek design. It would have been better if Moen made an extension trim plate so you can at least conceal the defect. And on the topic of Moen, wish I knew that their handles are known to have play in them (stops past the 6 o''clock point just ever so slightly but annoying nonetheless). I would have brought the Toto shower and trim we were looking at. Their sink faucets are beautiful and fully functional.

Exactly what I needed
The plumber set the valve too deep in the wall. Then the tile guy put a really thick layer of mortar so it ended up being really deep. The factory screws did not reach. This kit fit perfectly with no slop in the handle and was very easy to install.
