Q: Can this be made with water from a hot pot instead of a microwave?

Maker's suggested cooking method is to microwave for 2 minutes or boil it for 10 minutes. If situation does not allow, there are many experiences that has been shared online: 1.cooking it in a pot of boiling water without opening the lid, 2. putting the cooked rice in a bucket, or any container that would fit the cooked rice, with boiling water poured in the bucket or container and leave it in. For this method, cooked rice should be left in the bucket or container longer than boiling method, since the temperature drops without continuous heat supply. There are other methods but the mentioned two methods are the simplest. MAKE SURE TO NOT OPEN THE LID/COVER WHEN COOKING IT WITH HOT WATER METHODS.
