The instructions for this item are simply terrible. The directions lack very important details to be able to install it correctly. For example, for the parallel installation method, there is no mention that the end of the arm needs to be removed. I only learned about this after watching a you tube video.Other than that, the item is performing well for the intended purpose.

The media could not be loaded. Pros: Good value. Shipped quickly. Choice of 3 colors (bronze, black, silver). Three separate adjustments after installation (door speed, latch speed and open limit speed for doors that open over 100 degrees). Good tech support. Good installation instructions.Cons: Tech support was slow to respond (over 24 hours). Initial contact is by web portal or email. There is no phone number for support during installation. I suggest contacting support before installing if you have questions about closer position BEFORE drilling holes.Summary: I'll purchase additional Lynn products in the future.

This is pricey, but it did the trick. It’s been on my commercial door at my Business for the last month with no problems.

The media could not be loaded. Honestly - I can't swear that it's easy to install IF you're as unhandy as I am. But because Brian in tech support is an absolute master on this instrument, a great teacher and a super sweet guy - I got it done fast and it was easy and fun. Works like a charm. Highly recommend working with this company.

quality closers and good product support..highly recommend

I bought two of these. The first one I put on my heavy garage door in parallel mode on the push side. This works very well. The adjustments let me fine tune the close and latch speed. It is a little heavier to pull but acceptable.The second one I put on an interior door that had one of those hinge closers that would slam all the time. This one was on the pull side. Turns out that the parallel mode is far less powerful than the pull side mode. It was way too heavy of a pull. I could barely do it, even when following the directions to move the closer and the arm. No configuration I tried was light enough for a kid to even open the door.Since this one is a fixed spring, there was nothing to do but return it. I kept the other one.
