Q: How well do the pergo blades work with really hard, dense woods like mahogony, ipee (sp?) And g'rappa (sp?)? I just wore out two freud carbide blades

Like a dream in my case. Laminate is harder and denser than any wood. I burned 2 10" carbide freud blades just making 6-7 few feet long cuts, wont even cut pine or cedar now. My 12" pergo blade made over few hundred cuts of laminate, 5 transitions with sheet metal brackets and after i used it to cut all floor boards. No chips, no smoking, acts like its brand new blade. Hope it helps

Q: Can you just use this to rip and cut super hard woods?

I use this to cut laminate everyday and when i have hardwood jobs i switch to a 100tooth wood finish blade. It cuts smoother and doesnt leave jagged edges

Q: Can this blade be used on vinyl laminate?

Our plastics/aluminum blades provide a better finish quality (much higher tooth count) while still providing good life performance in LVP, so we generally recommend these over our diamond coated blades that have a much lower tooth count.
