These grips really have some substance to them. They're soft-ness is somewhere in the middle. Not as soft as some downhill grips I've used but they're not hard either. These grips are for someone who likes a thicker grip, they're not thin. If you have very large hands they might not be a good choice either as they're somewhat narrow compared to many grips I've used. But I have about average sized hands and they're prefect.The longevity on these seems to be good, I've got about two dozen rides on them and they do attract glove lint but after cleanup they look brand new. The dual locking function of these works well, neither grip has moved on me.

This is my second set of north shore grips. The gum color matches maxxis tan walls nicely. The wide diameter and soft rubber provides a comfortable grippy surface for large hands.
