Yes. I put it on a stock 1971 bus. Had a 009 on it. Got rid of flat spot. So far all good

I have put it in a 65 bug and know my 70 bus. I have probably put about 2k miles on each. Only issue I ran into was a bad distributor cap where the plastic had an issue and cause some misfiring. Company was quick to respond and refunded me. I would buy again without hesitation. Both VWs start every time and runs noticeably stronger.
