Q: Help! these are so dense i cant squish them down enough to the zipper opening on cushion! should i try to cut them a bit smaller? or order smaller?

I don't know if trimming the foam would help. It probably depends if they are too thick or too wide. If you are having trouble getting your cover over the foam put the foam in a plastic bag slip your cover over it you can leave the plastic on it or pull it off and then zip it shut.

I bought mine in the summer of 2016. I flip them occasionally. They are holding up very well. I am very pleased with the quality.

Q: Can you cut this to fit your sofa cushions?

I found that this was close enough to my standard size cushions that just stuffing it into the pillowcase was enough to disguise any difference in sizes. But you could absolutely cut this, you would just need a suitable tool (one of those electric kitchen knives would work if you don't have a profession tool).
