Q: How do you mount the switch? Where is the hole?

It's not designed to be mountable, out of the box anyways. It's an internal switch, where you carve/drill a hole in the casing of whatever you're hooking it up to. You unscrew a nut around the switch itself, take off the 'On-Off' plate, slide that into the hole, the slide the plate back on and replace the nut.

Q: Can these be safely used as a on/off switch on a small appliance using household current?

Yes, they are rated for house current (120V) at10 Amps (A) which is enough to power most appliances. Check your appliance to see how many amps are used. This should be listed n the motor housing or underside of countertop appliances.

Q: How long are the wire leads?

Worked great as a headfan light switch replacement

I had a rotating switch before (which was a dimmer) and the post broke off (plastic... WHY???). Broan OEM replacement was going to be $176. This works perfectly and was really easy to use as a replacement. I like the toggle switch MUCH BETTER than the original rotating know.

I use these to run the hydraulic system on my 5 car trailer. They work great as long as you can keep them dry.. I coat the contacts in liquid electrical tape and they last me for a couple of years. They're easy to replace when I need to..
