Q: Does the backpack come with a warranty? Got it in Oct/Nov 2015, used less than 15 times, and the shoulder strap seems to be coming apart.

I'm not sure about the warranty. They are a good company. I'm sure they'll fix it. You must have got an oddball. I have 2 of them. One I use for. Coyote Hunting, the other for EDC. They're very well made and have been worth every penny. One of my favorite packs. If you're looking for the "BEST" I'd suggest a Kifaru. They make excellent packs for everything. Spendy though. Best of luck.

Q: Do you need to include the sleeve when installing a camelback, or is the egg mk ii compartment sufficient to just install the reservoir? thanks

There are two compartment options for the Camelback bladder. Both would be sufficient without a separate sleeve. I use the separate back compartment since it has a large padded sleeve, padded on all side, and it's in a pocket by itself without any other objects poking it. Hope that helps.
