Does this switch support 802.1q vlans and trunking?

The one on the left in the picture (US-8-60W) is a managed switch that supports 802.1q vlans and trunking among other features. You need the Unifi controller software to manage it correctly. This can be downloaded for Windows, MacOS and Linux from the vendor website or you can get their appliance (confusingly named "cloudkey"). The 4 ports on the right also support outgoing PoE with a 60W total power budget (you can connect a PoE camera or phone or similar device and they will receive power from the switch).

Can us-8-60w be powered by another us-8-60w -- poe 802.3af (12w)? i understand the poe out would probably not work for the second device.

This Switch does not have a POE IN to power from another us-8-60w. You can use a US-8 Unifi Switch that can be powered by the us-8-60w. So main is us-8-60w, and connect a us-8 using the POE IN port.

How many poe does us8 have? what does pass through mean? i just need one poe for ap.

There are two similar but different models. This page is for the US-8-60W, which has a large power supply and uses that to directly power 4 POE ports (802.af, not POE+/802.at, so a maximum of ~12W output per port instead of 25W. This is enough for most Ubiquiti UnFi APs, but not the AP-HD, which has greater power requirements.) The US-8 is a different model with only one POE output port. The US-8 can itself be powered by POE through one port, or by a DC power supply. The POE output port can be powered whether the US-8 is being powered by its DC power supply, or if the US-8 is being powered by POE input. In the latter case, the POE is "passed through" from the input to the output. Under certain circumstances, if the input POE is 802.af and has a maximum wattage around 12W, it is possible that there will be insufficient power to power both the US-8 and the second device on the output port if the total power draw is too much. Pass through in general is when a device is powered by POE and also passes through that POE to some of its output ports (instead of drawing the energy necessary to power the POE ports via its own power supply.)

Can the poe ports be used as as regular rj45 ports if i only need two poe; one for ac-pro the other for the cloud key.

Yes, in general you don't need to turn PoE off, even if using for non PoE devices. PoE is auto-sensing and won't do anything if the device doesn't use it.
