Q: Does this really support 300# vs. 30#? I’m looking for this sort of table to use with my flatbed embroidery machine which weighs 36#.

I think it would. I’ve stacked books on mine from time to time, maybe 15 or so ….not paperbacks, either, and it worked. Mine is sturdy and well-made and I love it……no problems AT ALL!

Q: Is the body (the table) not including the mouse pad area large enough to contain a 17" wide laptop? Thanks!

A 17 inch laptop will fit on this with ease. I park two 13 inch MacBooks on it side by side without issue. This is worth giving a try at least. I’d recommend it.

Q: Will it hold 2 monitors?

maybe if it's just two (small) monitors and possibly a keyboard. I have a monitor and a laptop on mine (no external keyboard),and they overlap about 2 inches in the center.

Q: Just received this and it won’t lock in the standing position. What is the trick to make it lock? I followed the instructions but it doesn’t work.

No “trick” and nothing to set to keep it up. May need to return it and get one that does lock. It should lock with ease and unlock should be tough. If you’ve followed the instructions then return for a working model.
