Precision Brand Music Wires - 0.024″ Diameter Music Wire, 1/4 Pound Coil

A bit of an epiphany… needed a specific spring to fix a 100 year-old Yale lock… overwhelming selection in the McMaster’s catalog, and even a “spring finder” app. But: if you are wrong, have to place another order…. So I got rough specs off the app, including wire dia. (Thanks, McMasters!) and ordered this… looked at a YouTube for instructions— and made the perfect spring on try #3 (the ends are trickiest :) anyway, it’s a shocker you can make custom springs at home! (Haha, at least small ones :)

Apparently, measurements are done differently in music land. The higher the guage the THICKER the string. Which is backwards from every other time I've handled wire. So....... I'm out the money.

The diameter matches the specifications that I ordered, the box has no visible damage, and thats about it 5 stars!
