Q: If this adds water directly from tap, how do you remove the chlorine ?!? Do you just add dechlorinator to the tank after ?

As others have said add the entire amount of declorinator before you start. But if you have any other chemicals that must be added (in my case one that adjusts the city PH of 9.4 down to 7 (which is what many fresh water fish require) it won't work because this chemical must be mixed in all the water as it goes in the tank so I have to mix it by bucket. BTW this is much like the famous "Python" everybody raves about. I have one and can't use it for the same reason I can't use this one. Obviously wouldn't work for a saltwater tank. Oh and there is a high volume of wasted water since you use faucet water to provide the suction pressure - that water just goes down the drain

How high or low your tank is doesn't matter, its the pressure of your water what makes the suction of the pump work when vacuuming. If the pressure is low the suction will be low.

Make sure your drain line is below your tank add proper valves are open and closed. The system is very slow at best and I don’t even use mine.
