Klean Kanteen Wide Loop Cap

My other container has a larger diameter making it hard to pour water. This one with less capacity had the perfect size for my small hand to grip.confidently. Quality container but I’m afraid that it will develop the silicone gasket leak. My bigger and older version of the container is starting to leak.

I love this canteen. Plain and simple. Single-walled. Tight seal. I use it on camping trips, and love that I can set it directly on a fire (minus the cap) to boil water. Water tastes great in it, and it's got solid, good quality build. I've dropped it a handful of times, and while it does take on dings, I'm surprised by how small they are compared to how bad the drops have been. Works like a charm!

Good, no complaints. No leaks. The quality seem good.

This is my second time purchasing this bottle (I lost the first one), and I love it! I don't like my water ice cold, and this bottle is an excellent way for me to lug around 40 ounces at a time without lugging around something massive. It doesn't insulate drinks and will sweat if you put cold water inside on hot days, but it's perfect for a room-temperature water drinker. My bottle has a few dents in it, but that's because I'm rough on my gear (it rolled under the car yesterday, ha) but it has held up very well.

After just 9 days of use, the Loop Cap's inner seal broke and lets all liquid out from the container. The only thing keeping the liquid in is the silicone or plastic seal and it either came loose or fell off from twisting the cap wrong. Like with most drinking bottles, most caps will have its moment in not screwing on properly and you will have to unscrew it and set it on correctly to screw it on. However, apparently the event that you screw it wrong allows the seal to come off. This is a terrible design. It is terribly unfortunate that Klean Canteen--one of the more revered companies in the outdoor community--has produced such a terrible product.Anyone interested in this product should steer clear of it and find an alternative option. I do not recommend it at all.

Love my previous Klean Kanteen steel bottle and this one seems mostly similar. Unfortunately it came with a dent already! Seemed like it was packaged well so not sure how. Not worth returning tho.

I prefer the simple wide mouth water bottle especially for washing since I can see into it clearly and there isn’t a bunch of tiny crevices in the top. Hold a huge amount of water. Used it on an international trip recently and when I filled it early morning and put a bit of ice in with the water it kept my water so cold for so long it was amazing. The top seals great. It’s a bit wide for my hand to hold onto for long periods but it does have a handle on the top and I mostly kept in on the backpack pocket. This is a no frills exterior which is great for my travel stickers.
