Works Well, No Leaks, Nice Hinged Case
I've used PEX B for years and bought this to install PEX A on a high-flow lawn sprinkler line off a main well pump. PEX A fittings have a greater inside diameter.- It worked great when expanding 3/4" PEX A with A brass fittings....no leaks or issues so far. It wasn't hard to expand the pipe and end collar at room temperature.- The tool appears well made; the handles are aluminum (less weight) and the conical plunger head is discolored at the end from what appears to be a tempering/hardening process, which is good.- It comes with a small tube of grease that is applied to the heads to reduce friction. The tool and grease are made in China, so when this tube is empty I'll be using SuperLube grease because it's clean, made in USA, and NFS listed (food machinery).-If I did a lot of PEX work, an electric expander would be much easier and faster. However, this tool is great for doing a house or occasional PEX A jobs.Notes:- This doesn't have self-rotating heads like some other expanders, so you simply have to rotate the tool (or pipe) a few degrees (see photo) back and forth between expansions to overlap the tool's imprints. This will assure its uniform inside. Otherwise, the expansion dies will keep landing and imprinting grooves on the same spots.- When using PEX A pipe, you must use PEX A poly or brass fittings. PEX A and B (crimp style) fittings are not interchangeable.

This toll works great. No need for power tools.
First time I ever used expandable PEX. I’ll never go back to the clamps! I thought this would be difficult and considered getting a powered version for several hundred dollars, but I’m glad I didn’t. This thing works great. Just make sure you rotate it inside the PEX and you’ll be fine.

Cheap and effective
Seems to work just as well as the premium options for way less. Saves me a ton of time and money.

Good tool
I did a project with about 40 connections using this tool and it worked perfectly. Zero leaks, and it was satisfying to use.

excellent value for 1/2 pex
Good value, works super well for 1/2 inch pex. It works YOU out for 3/4 inch pex, but it does work if you can get the leverage (I'm in decent shape but had to use body weight most of the time to do 3/4). I didn't try 1", but I'd imagine you'd have to be a bodybuilder to stretch that manually.

Very easy to use
Purchased this for a bathroom remodel. Was amazingly easy to use and very efficient. It took about 20 minutes to make 10 connections, no leaks. Great tool!

Effective Option
For a small job, this is a very effective choice. Hard to pump so a big job my be very challenging.
