Beduan 1/4" Mini Ball Valve, Stainless Steel Female x Male NPT Thread Shut-Off Valve (Pack of 2)

Nice valve, zero leaks! I've used Binks stainless steel air valves which are top of the line but ridiculously expensive $80+. Appears to be very well made, I am certain the manufacturer didn't take the time to polish the exterior and powder coat the blue handle while leaving the internals substandard. No problem making leak proof 1/4" NPT connections, and the threads are indeed tapered, just not excessively long, so an extra turn or two of teflon tape guarantees a snug connection without bottoming out. These were installed in a professional architectural woodworking shop at the bottom drain ports of two leaky ARO air/water filter cans, where I had to tap 1/4" NPT female threads. Both are now leak free at 160 PSI. Would I buy these again? This is my second purchase of the exact same item under a different "brand name", so I'd say yes! For the price, how can I possibly go wrong?

Bought these to place online before my air hose connections. That way, I can shut the line completely off to prevent constant pressure in the line.I had to modify the bracket plate on my compressor to allow the shut off handle to rotate properly.Other than that, the quality of these appears to be excellent and so far no leaks or other issues and I’m satisfied with the purchase.If you use these for a similar installation, I recommend place them gently into a vise (meaning don’t torque down too much) and thread them into each other before installing onto the compressor.That way, it’s easier to insure you have properly tightened them.

I’ve been looking for a small ball valve that can handle the high heat that my truck mount produces and these are exactly what I was looking for. The previous ball valves that I was getting from my local supplier would start leaking only a couple weeks after using. So far these have lasted months. I am regularly cleaning tile at 1200 psi and 210° and these valves are holding up very well.

THE GOOD1. Made of 316 stainless steel and not 304 (as per manufacturer)2. Quality manufacturing (smooth/no burrs)THE NOT-SO-GOODThe item is not 1 whole piece in that the female side has a reducer. That means if you remove whatever fitting is connected on that side, the reducer might come with the fitting. Conversely, if you over-tighten it, the reducer goes deeper and jams into the ball valve thereby damaging it and causing a leak.
