Q: what is the difference between Ultrasonic sensor detecting and microwave sensor/proximity. Is it the same thing?

Hi, they are different. this item ec203 is with ultrasonic sensor in the kit, the ec202 is with microwave sensor in the kit. here is the lik of ec202: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q2VT6JG the Ultrasonic sensors work on the principle of reflected sound waves and are used to measure distance. Sound waves are emitted by the ultrasonic sensor and they’re reflected back if there is an object in front of it. The sensor detects these waves and measures the time it takes between transmitting and receiving those sound waves. Distance is then estimated by the time interval between sensor and object. A microwave motion sensor uses electro-magnetic radiation. It emits waves which are then reflected back to the receiver. The receiver analyzes the waves that are bounced back.
