I used it for a kitchen cabinet door on a washing machine. Worked very well

Sorry but it doesn’t state on the packaging that it is heat resistant or suitable for using in high heat. So maybe not worth the gamble?

Do I need a special type of glue for the strips to hold?

I did used a glue the straps have wiggles out a little so I just cut out slightly wider pieces
