Yes, they really work!!
I have been playing guitar for approaching 60 years at semi and pro levels. I have not needed and in fact was unaware that guitar gloves even existed.I have recently undergone 12 sessions of chemotherapy which has left my skin rather thin, cuts take ages to heal and the fingertips which had developed strong callouses are now vulnerable. Neuropathy is also a problem but less so if the hands are warm. I was sceptical that these would work for a lead guitarist such as myself, but they do and what’s more they work well. I can only assume that the player who gave them one star got the wrong size, they need to be tight so go down a size. I’ve found no problem soloing at speed and chords are no problem. There’s also no colouration to the sound.I am really pleased I found these and although I probably won’t use them for a live performance they are perfect for rebuilding my finger strength and dexterity. Can’t praise them enough.

Wearing bass gloves
Bought smaller size as recommended - but does not leave fingers fully free. Some slight limitation on spread.Wears quite quickly, especially plucking fingers. If mainly one finger then about 6 - 10 hours; two finger plucking = 10 - 20 hours - depending on technique.Fretting fingers a little better - but index and smallest finger suffer from extending slides (I only have three fretting fingers - so more noticable). However, it does extend the time I can practice and play. I can now cope with 1 hour sets and even up to 2 hour sets (not that I would recommend this). I dont notice too much when playing. It is better than using superglue.

If you could Play Before, You Won't With These
God knows what these would sound like on a mandolin, but safe to say, they sound awful on a six string guitar.Pointless purchase, now residing in the bin.

Less sore finger tips
Don’t know how much they help you to play, but fingers aren’t so sore after a practice session this morning. Since I am just starting to learn ukulele it is difficult to hit the string properly every time without the feel of the string, but maybe will get easier.
